PMP Jazz III Shape Guitar Pick (Wenge)
The size and shape of the Jazz style picks is comparable to Jazz III picks (width: 22-23 mm, length: 27-28 mm). Also available in a slightly larger size, comparable to Jazz XL picks.
Wenge is a durable wood that's often used in bass and custom guitar necks. The colour is a medium/dark brown, with black streaks. The thickness of the picks depends on what is optimal for any given wood, ranging from 1.8 mm to 2.8 mm. From thinnest to thickest: bubinga, jatoba, padauk, wenge, walnut.
I sand each pick by hand and finish them with a high quality oil varnish that protects the wood from dirt, sweat, and wear.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom and personalized orders
I really enjoy making custom picks, so if there's a specific pick model you'd like, please request a custom order. You can even design your own pick! If you'd like a guitar pick made of a wood not currently listed as an option, I'll try to find a supplier.
IMPORTANT: When you request a custom order, I have to create a new private listing for you. You cannot pay for the order before this listing has been created, and I cannot deliver the order until it has been paid. I may also ask for further information before creating the custom listing. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ETSY ACCOUNT WITHIN TWO DAYS OF REQUESTING THE CUSTOM ORDER.
All PMP guitar picks are tested for durability, and it's very unlikely that they would break when playing. However, the picks should not be bent sideways, as the pick may break in half along the grain; that's just the way wood is.
If you want to sharpen an old pick, you can use medium and fine sandpaper (be careful not to overdo it!) and then use a hard drying oil finish or a wiping varnish to refinish the tip.
Wood is softer than metal! Won't these break when you're playing?
Well, so is plastic.
Wooden picks, when made by a professional with an understanding of the structural properties of wood, are remarkably durable. Even picks as thin as 1.5 millimeter can be impossible for the average person to bend vertically, so it's very unlikely for one of my picks to break when playing. Horizontally, they are less durable, so I advise against intentionally bending the picks sideways.
If you play very aggressively, or you're a bass player, I suggest you make a custom order and mention this, so I can make the picks slightly thicker than normal (in addition to any other customisation you might want).
